Skanderbeg's citadel, three sieges held, and the pines of Qafshtamë.
Krujë withstood Ottoman sieges in 1450, 1466 and 1467. Retaken 28 November 1443, later independence day. Castle, museum, bazaar since the 1600s, paired with Qafshtamë National Park at about 1,200 m.

Mr GhostKrujë was Skanderbeg's citadel. It withstood three Ottoman sieges, 1450, 1466, 1467, and held all three. It was retaken on 28 November 1443, the date later chosen for independence day in 1912.
The Skanderbeg Museum sits inside the castle. Below it, a bazaar has traded on the same street since the 1600s. We pair the town with the black pine of Qafshtamë National Park at around 1,200 m.
